The Fall Collection

2011

“The Fall Collection” was an evening of specially chosen one act plays, vignettes and monologues chosen by drama teacher, Barry Woodruff. He chose pieces that center around the often comical, sometimes heartbreaking issues of high school students today. The evening began with “Wendy’s Tale” about a girl who is brilliant, but does not test well. We see how Wendy gets bored with tests and lets her imagination win out over knowledge.

Next up were the “The Bully Plays”. The trickle-down effect of bullying is explored in several plays. This collection of short plays will challenge, inspire and enlighten. Lastly, there was “13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview”. Two college recruiters need to fill one last spot to keep their jobs and thirteen eccentric, dimwitted and slightly insane high school seniors show up for an interview. Each applicant’s interview hilariously illustrates what NOT to do at a college interview.
